can someone explain me what has an absolute value to do with the limit?

if you have

lim i^n/n
n->0

taking absolute values we get

lim |i^n|/|n| => 0
n->inf

if this is 0 then why is the

lim 1/n 0 too? can someone plot a graph or explain it? thanks a lot
n->0
