They're all lovely but it's one of those places where everyone knows everything about everyone's lives, and what they don't know they fill in with their own wild conspiracies. I am taking 3wks off work for an operation that I don't want to discuss with anyone at work (my boss knows though). I'm a lot younger than most of them so they'd probably be shocked and worried at my being scheduled off work.
Any ideas of a boring excuse for the scheduled time off work that will keep them off my back but without having to fake a life-threatening illness?
No-one is granted 3wks off as annual leave so they'd smell a rat right away. I know I don't legally have to say anything but socially I do. I might say something like women's problems and give them a look that says 'don't ask me any more'
