CLIFFS: Guy pops a wheelie, cops pull him over, pull a gun on him, he posts the video on Youtube, cops raid his house, seize his camera and computer, charge him with illegal "wiretapping" and he faces 16 years in prison.

I hate to say it again, but I told you fucking morons 10 years ago that this shit was getting out of control and we would be facing down the prospect of having to fight for our freedom from a police state.

don't tell that to the law enforcement and DAs that purposely misinterpret the law

Police reports are public domain. So are arrest records. When police are operating in public on public property, they should have no expectations of privacy.

So glad I live in Canada. 95% of the cops here are nice, down to earth and actually respect the law. The one time I went to the States, me and my buddy grabroad
pulled over and harassed, all because my buddy is a muslim and has an afro.

Fuck US cops.

After all the years of 'if you arent doing anything wrong you've grabroad
nrabroad
hing to hide' authorities dont like it when its coming back at them

"Cassilly added, "Suppose a police officer pulled you over and he wanted to have a talk with you. 'Sir, I smell alcohol on your breath. Can you talk to me about how much you've had to drink? Would you want somebody else to stop by and record that and put it on the Internet?" "

Yeah, people everywhere are going to stop by for that.

Did they charge the guy who recorded the Rodney King beating with illegally recording those cops? He should be out of jail by now, I suppose

Whatever happened after that youtube vid of the cop just demolishing a cyclist during a critical mass in NYC?

Repost.

But yeah, worthless cop being a douche bag. This will get tossed out in court, the wiretapping law they cited him with only applies when you're supposed to have a reasonable expectation of privacy in conversation. Side of the highway you can't expect expect that. Bullshit charges.
