Any of you fans of Miike.

I have seen Ichi The Killer, Dead or Alive Trilogy, Visitor Q and City of Lost Souls.

I liked Ichi and Dead or Alive.

You have yet to see Audition, and have therefore yet to begin.

;)

Seriously though, see it, it's incredible.

He's a great director, and Ichi is probably the most iconic film to come out of Japan in rcent years.

Seen all of these. Ichi is amazing, though surely one of the most violent films ever, and that woman in Visitor Q sure can lactate! Thought the first Dead or Alive was the good one, even if it can't live up to that amazing opening sequence. Have you seen 'Fudou the New Generation' or the musical-comedy (yes!) 'Happiness of the Katakuris'? Both great. Miike has also done a David Lynch and made a twisted TV series 'MPD Psycho' which is well worth seeing, our local Blockbuster actually had this in... which was nice.

I enjoy his films, Audition and One Missed Call are two of my favourites, also Visitor Q, Dead or Alive 1 and 2 were interesting(prefered the second movie over the first, yet to see the third), Bird People of China, Fudoh The Next Generation, Rainy Dog, Ley Lines, City of Lost Souls, Happiness of the Katakuris(although I do prefer The Quiet Family original from Korea), his section of Three Extremes and so on...

Sabu was decent but didn't enjoy it as much as the above, same with Shinjuku Triad Society. Oh Gozu has some decent parts.

I think that is all the films I have seen from him, directed anyway.

Any Miike fan should check out Seijun Suzuki's 'Branded To Kill' (1967). He'd already had a warning after making the strange and stylish 'Tokyo Drifter', but this quite violent, sexually explicit (for the time) and just plain weird film got him blacklisted. He never directed again until the late 80s! Ghost Dog; The Way of The Samurai pinched one sequence from this wholesale, where an assasin shoots someone through the plumbing.

Hmm... fan is such a strong word... I've enjoyed a heck of a lot of his movies, but at the same time there have been those that I felt were very average.
