Tahoe's making weird sounds?

My mother drives a chevy tahoe, i believe it is a 1997, but lately I've been noticing an odd noise coming from somewhere under the hood while I'm driving. It's something like a high pitched squeal/tapping but it only occurs when accelerating around 30-45 mph, but only when pressing the gas, when going up a hill or from take off. We're about to take it on vacation WAAY down in Florida. I'm only curious to know what it is in case it is something very serious.
 
Check your belts and see if they are loose or old.
Most likely you need to replace one of your belts.
Its not something you want to go on vacation with if you don't replace the belts or find out what it is if its not that.
