T5 screen buzz

From the day I bought my T5, it has had a high-pitched whine associated with its screen (no doubt for the backlight driver).

However, recently, it has started making a buzz as well as the whine. Any ideas on what this might be? Is this something I should use my extended warranty (Futureshop/Bestbuy) for, or, since I'm an electronics engineer by trade, should I open her up and see what I can do myself?
 
I'd call Palm. It's a new machine and opening it would void any warranty should Palm deem it to be replacable. Futheremore, there are several other people complaining of the same issue, so this might be either a defect in manufacture (or possibly design), and Palm should be made aware. Trying to fix it yourself does not bring the problem to Palm's attention. That hurts everyone.
