Well, I practically have almost all my applications installed, so far a total of 202 (a little over 30 games).
The totals on the space I have left:
22.4 mb on the T5 itself
119.1317 mb on the DiskOnChip internal card
955.9 mb left on the expansion card.
I started out with:
64 mb on the T5 itself
161 mb on the DiskOnChip internal card
1000 mb (1 gig) on the expansion card
All in all, the T5 does have some minor unstability issues with some applications. I have had some crashes. I am running CrashPro. Until I read somewhere here, I didn't know I could log my crashes, but I am now.
I have to hard reset a total of three times while I was reloading. I have figured out that each hard reset was attributed to me being impatient, trying to reload to much at one time, and not remembering to format the DiskOnChip internal card when I did the first hard reset.
The T5 is faster that the m500 series, but I do not notice a markable difference between my previous T3 and this one.
I am running PowerRun that allows me to move a lot of my applications stored on the internal memory to the expansion card and still act as if the applications are on the internal memory.
I do like the four channel favorite screens that can be customized. Each channel has room for 8 applications or folders that the user chooses to put on each channel.
All in all, I have no regrets in going to the T5. It is clear that Palm has stepped up to the next level and there are a few bugs that need to be worked out overall.
The T5 doesn't necessarily like loading larger applications while also synchronizing the entire device. I have had to install some applications in parts, if that was possible. Also I have discovered that if you install without synchronizing the entire device there is a higher success rate that the install will not fail. Once the application is installed, there appears to be no problems with the operation.
I haven't decided if I want to look for a T3 to purchase as a backup. I have a strong feeling that I will be doing this, but I need to get this one settled first.
I wanted to give everyone an update to see where I am and my progress....if I run into more issues or problems, I will let you all know.
Carol
