T5 is dead, want to sync with a new TX

Hey all,

I just stepped on my T5. Screen is history, and from what I can gather, there is not much point paying to get it fixed over buying a new palm (but feel free to correct me on this!).

So I think I will get a TX. Unless one of you talks me out of it. But assuming I do, is it going to be an absolute nightmare getting my new TX to look exactly like my old T5? Will I have to buy new copies of lisenced software (eg Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine). Or will this all magically happen with the push of a button? If only it was that simple, or close to it.

Ever hopeful,

Stu

Buy the TX and install the Desktop software that came with it. Follow the instructions and hot sync when advised etc. Use the same username as you used with the T5 - you can not every sync the T5 again using that username but if the screen's toast then this shouldn't be an issue.

Any software that the Palm Desktop installation deems not compatible will be moved to a specific folder and you'll be advised by the installation of that specific folder.

After the hotsync - the TX should look very much like the T5 sans any "not compatible" software per the above step.
