T5 conduit problem

I just got my T5 and I install it at my home computer and it works fine (after doing some reinstalling the Desktop software). Also I have reinstalled the Desktop software at my work computer, but I am having problems with the conduits. Doing my first hotsync, it gave me an error message on the log that says:
HotSync Error: An application cancelled synchronization or failed to respond to a HotSync notification. Please ensure that you are not currently editing data using applications such as Palm OS Desktop or Install Tool. (8009).

After that it give me another error message that says:

Palm conflict Notifier
A conflict in the installed conduits has been detected. This is cause when two different conduits are using the same PIM data type (e.g. Address Book vs. Contacts). To allow synchronization to proceed, use the hotsync Custom dialog box to change one set of conduits to ?Do Nothing?.

I look at the hotsync settings and I found that it still has the ?Address and DateBook and other conduits from Tungsten T? witch I think are the ones giving me problems with the new ?Contact and Calendar conduit?. ?Address and DateBook conduit? are set to ?Do Nothing?. Every time I try to hotsync, it stops at this error massages. Can any one help me with this dilemma?

Thanks, Javrod :)

Your going to have to fully unistall the Palm Desktop. You may even have to hack the registry of "Palm" to complete the unistall.

Once you've got all remants of the Palm Desktop removed you should have no problem after reinstalling with a hot sync.

If you use Norton System Works you may want to use it to unistall the original desktop rather than the windows "remove" because Norton does a better job of cleaning all the cobwebs out.

Thanks, Moose Man

I did uninstall the desktop software as you sugested but I do not know how to play with the registry. So i went and deleted the Palm derectory and that did the trick. Everything sees to work well now.

Thanks a lot, Javrod

As long as it's working that's good. Those of us who might be a little more anal retentive have a tendency to want to clean out everything....which means the registry and sometimes it's not necessary.

Glad it's working.
