T3 Sync Problem

Just recently baught a Tungsten T3 and I am already having problems!

It Syncs fine with my PC bar the fact that it tells me that I need Office 2000 to sync all my details. I use Office 97 and find it very hard to believe that the people at Palm made a product that means you need a 500 pound package just to get it to synce.

Can any one help me please?

Post your hot sync log and that will provide me with more information as to what's going on but there is no reason for it not to work unless something is a miss with the Microsoft software.
 
This is just the kind of detail you should check on before you buy something. As you can see at http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/...,K=9842,Sxi=2,useTemplate=Case.tem,CASE=25624 , the T3 Outlook conduits don't work with Outlook 97. Almost everyone has given up trying to support Outlook 97 because it is such a bug-ridden piece of crap. You don't need to buy all of Office 2000 (which is 500 pounds only on another planet but earth), just Outlook 98 or higher. You can get Outlook 98 for $30 at http://www.ivorcom.com/shopping/third_level.php?product_id=CM100014&category_id=7 or any of a number of web outlets. It always helps to know what country you live in so we can check for web sites that ship to where you live.
