T3 screen need one

So it's been close to a year since I've posted here. I hope Mooseman :o and Paul :D are still here because I need their help as well as everyone elses. ;)

My trusted Palm T3's screen died. Circuit City wouldn't replace  it for obvious reasons. I sent it away they sent it back unfixed.
So I'm stuck with a perfectly good T3 (minus a rather cracked screen).

Three questions:

1) where can I buy a replacement screen?
2) once I get it how do I detach my old one and put on the new one?
3) if this is a lost cause. Where can I buy a new or like-new T3? Anyone have a working mint condition one lying around? I'll buy it from you?
4) so I lied I have four questions... If getting a t3 screen and fixing it myself  is stupid and finding a almost like new t3 is next to impossible. Where can I find a T5 for under $200 (USD).

I've been without my T3 for 3 months now. I'm surviving with paper and a pen quite nicely but I miss the little contraption. It made remembering things so much easier with the beeping.

Let me know!

Seth, if you can repair it or get it repaired, I say go for it. As Paul (TealLover) will tell you, the T3 is the flagship and I feel PalmOne should have used it to build upon instead of trying to create different PDAs. You can do a search on google to find a screen, however Jim, Paul, and/or MooseMan can give you leads of at least one person who can repair it for you. If I were you, I would head in that direction first.

You can get a T3 glasstop/digitizer at http://www.gethightech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PA1693&Category_Code=DIG but they are not cheap at $90 and they are currently sold out so apparently you are no the only one with a T3 screen problem. As far as finding a T5 for less than $200, I think you must be dreaming. :)

I don't know why finding a new T3 is so difficult. Office Depot, Office Max, and Circuit City all show the T3 in stock, albeit at full retail of $399. As Paul always says, it's still the flagship of the Palm line and priced like it.

Because it appears you are on a tight budget, I would like to suggest some possible places for you to get the most for you money.
1) Overstock.com
2) Ebay.com (do use some caution in the used PDA selection)
3) Sale/discount of PalmOne.com
4) Froggle.com (which is a search engine to use when purchasing items, prices are listed in the search results).
