T3 restore problem!!

i've got a T3 on a Mac (10.4) and lost my palm for awhlie. I put in the cradle charged, it, turned it on...all was good, but I had lost my data. No problem, I thought, I'll just re-sync. Hit the hotsync button and the process starts. Everything seemed to be restored, and T3 says i need to restart. I hit the restart button and....Fatal Error! It won't do anything, (have to hard reset to get it up again). Any ideas? I had some 3rd party programs on there, could that be causing it?

The backup folder might be restoring something that needs to be installed via a Hot Sync or is causing some other problems. My suggestion is to make a backup copy of the backup directory (not sure where this is on a Mac) and then clean out everything out of the original backup directory to be certain that no other programs make their way onto the device.

You can then pick any files necessary from this backup directory later.

Your PIM data should still come across on the first hot sync - but then again I don't use a Mac to be able to tell you exactly where things are stored.
