T3 Reset and lost data for no apparent reason

I set my T3 into the charging cradle the other day and as soon as it went in it reset and lost all my data. No software has been installed on it recently - not for 6-8 months anyway.

Please bear with my list of questions, I don't want to make this worse by fooling around before I ask for advice.

Does anyone have any idea why this might have happened?

Is there any way to retrieve anything? I have been away and unable to sync recently.

If not possible to recover anything, do I just cradle it and synch to get back to last resync with PC, or is there something else I myst do?

Should I be looking for updates or patches to Palm OS?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Same thing happened to me last week, for the first time since owning it 2 years. Can't explain it, and very annoying. Sorry you had trouble. I simply set in cradle, heard a beep, and WHAM! there it went. Soft reset was looping, so did a hard reset.

I have almost all apps in flash, so they came back - did a restore from CardBackup and TealBackup and all was fine, and it hasn't happened again since. I wonder if you (and I) put it on the cradle "weird" and somehow contacts got shorted, if that would do it. Other than that I have no clue.

You can restore your data by setting Palm Desktop to "desktop overwrites" for the conduits and hotsynching.

Can you tell me a little more about that? I have a 512mb SD card in it, so lot's of storage space. Do I need a special app, or to I just install them differently?
