T3 power outage

I have a Palm T3 which is a little over a year old. Over the weekend my battery power died seemingly over night. When I used it Saturday to check on a telephone number while on the road, it was fine. I don't remember how strong the battery power bar was at that point. On Sunday morning when I woke up, my palm would not turn on. When place in the synch cradle, it powered on and acted like it just came out of the box without any data or additional applications. Luckily, I was able to Hotsynch and all of my programs and backups were reinstalled. It wasn't more than 12 hours from when I used it last with no problems to where it was a drained and empty PDA. Since Monday, it has been working fine and I haven't noticed (not have I ever noticed) a significant power drain or battery problem. Could this have been a fluke? Or does it sound like other possible problems might be lurking?

It's hard to tell since you don't really know how much power you had when you turned it off Saturday night. If it was already low on power, it's perfectly psossible to drain the remaining battery power overnight. When was the lst time you charged it before Saturday? T3" can normally only go a few days between charges with normal usage before the power gets critically low.

I suspect your power was already low and the problem was a fluke. Just make sure you cgarge the T3 before it gets to 30% and keep an eye on it to see of there are any futher problems.

Hi,
I've got this problem intermittently as I always play games and read the bible late into the night. Then I'd forget to turn it off. Then I'd wake up to a 'new' palm everytime. Why you may ask. Cause I've got a ultility called 'Always-on'. You can adjust the auto-off time to beyond the standard 3mins. Thank GOD there is a program called backupbuddy. Saved my a** a couple of times. I suspect yours was a fluke too.
