T3 - One touch voice recording?

Hello all - first thanks to everyone! This forum helped me select the correct palm - T3 all the way!

I already am in love with the voice record feature. I like to make quick notes to myself as I think of "todos" and was using diddlebug on a palm Vx to jot down reminders. I would then later scroll back through the little notes and enter todos into the palm desktop - as I prefer the using the computer for input. When driving, writing notes to myself is a little dangerous! The VR feature of the T3 mostly solves this - but is still a little unfriendly.

Is there a way (natively or otherwise through a 3rd party offering) to make the VR go right to the record screen when the VR button is pushed? Mine (by default) goes to the VR app page that lists all the current recordings and requires that you look for and sucessful tap a relitively small button on the screen (which requires redirecting my view to the palm) to create an "bew" memo. I

n short 'd like to not have to tap anything to use the VR. If I must - I'd at least like to only have to tap the (large) record button that appears once you've selected the option to create a new voice memo.

Thanks for any help!

Try tapping (VR button with your hand) and holding the button....you can record a brief memo and then when you release it will assign a time/date stamp to the memo you just recorded....you can then tap the center of the dpad to accept this "named" memo or use the Graffiti to rename it.

Hey MooseMan

I never knew you could do that. Tried it, I like it.

P.S. No need to tap the Dpad if you need another voice memo. Just press and hold the VR button again and a new memo starts.
