T3 Freezing Up.....

Folks,

Your assistance please. I'm having some problems with my T3 'freezing' up. I've got so 'annoyed ' with it that I moved my program files, hard reset my PDA and reloaded ALL my apps (okay I'm not in the league some of you are in!), in essence started again from scratch. It's STILL freezing up and I'm STILL having to soft reset a number of times to get passed even the 'Palm Powered' screen.

Can anyone shed any light? Am I moving into the send it back to Palm to get them to sort the problem out, or what? Does anyone know any programs you can load up which are similar to the disc doctors you can use on your PC, which could point out the problem?

I have faith folks, don't let me down!

Cheers Paul,

Hope you've seen my reply now. The real kicker came last night when I tried to drain the battery then recharge to see if that helped, no dice.

I've got in touch with Palm in order to return it to them under the advance programme as I really need this thing back asap, so I may well end up posting on Tweety's return link thread.

FYI, the programmes I've loaded up are:
The T3 updates
Word Complete
Slide free
Palm Reader Pro
Bug Me
Softick Card Export
Docs to Go Premium (V6.008)
Agendus Pro
Neat Freak
Crystal Pop-up
World Mate
Clip Pro
Cloak
Keyboard Driver

In addition to the emails I've sent you, here's some "maybe"s:

1. Keyboard driver - often a problem.

2. WorldMate is glitchy and especially if you're not web connected.

3. Clip Pro is fantastic but DON'T PUT IT IN FLASH (know you haven't yet) - it SERIOUSLY crashed my old M505 I gave my girlfriend. Not "flash friendly."

4. Which version of WordComplete are you running? YOU NEED LATEST. To upgrade you need to uncheck "enable," delete, SOFT RESET, then lay in new one making sure you keep a copy of CICC custom dictionary; this contains the terms you've added. I use that only, not the "stock" one.

5. Don't know about "cloak," but I paid an arm and a leg for Handango "Security Guard" 18 months ago for the 505 and that thing was a nightmare and resulted in a hard reset. Security apps are great if they don't screw everything up!! I would ONLY recommend TealLock (natch!)

If you haven't installed JackSprat then I can't otherwise explain the problem - but I bet MooseMan could. These are just my observations.
