T3 charge time

I am wondering how long it takes most of you to fully charge a T3? I also want to understand why sometimes it shows 100% but within a few seconds of being lifted from the cradle, drops considerably. Is there a difference between a "real" charge and a quick charge? I have installed "Battery Graph," but not sure how to best assess the programs info. Any help?

1. Use your T3 for a lengthy period until battery at least half way down or more. don't worry about "excessive;" it'll switch off if you're in "danger," after giving a couple of warnings.

2. Charge it for 2-3 hours. I leave mine on the charger probably too long; it's on the charger most of the time I'm on the PC which can be considerable. It's not shown any "weakness" in the 8 months I've had it.

3. If you don't need beaming, TURN IT OFF. If you don't need Bluetooth, TURN IT OFF. Set the brightness to about "half of half" or 1/4 full brightness. If you're used to "all the way up, this may seem "dark," but you'll get used to it and believe me it's better than the 505 used to be!

These steps should give you DRAMATICALLY longer battery life and more rapid charges. Routinely, I'd say leave it OFF on the charger for an HOUR and you'll be fine.

I always wonder about voltage used vs getting a charge while unit is on in the cradle; it seems to deplete the battery to a certain point before "taking a charge" even though the little lightning bolt is displayed. Therefore it's not getting the full "oomph" of leaving it off for an hour.

That's been my pattern, and the battery has not weakened at all in 8 months of being on for an hour or more per day and charging for about the same or more each day, too.

Have you ever tried Mobifish screensaver? I had it set today to go on when the Palm was on the charger, but noticed my Palm went from 100% to 40% as it sat on the charger showing fish for 3 hours. Obviously I didn't realize that the "screensaver" mode drains the battery. Since this is the case, 1. Can a screensaver ever be used, and 2. Is the Palm draining if the screen is on and shows CHG (ZLauncher) but Palm is on charger. Does it HAVE to be OFF to fully charge. I can't seem to figure this out. Thanks!

If the Palm is on in the cradle, it is using slightly less power than is being provided by the charger. If the CPU is active, like it would be with a screensaver, the Palm would be using slightly more power than can be provided by the charger. In that circumstance, I can see where the Palm would slowly run down the battery. With just the launcher screen showing, the CPU will be in sleep state and the Palm will charge, although the total charging time will be longer than if the Palm is turned off.
