T3 and Universal Wireless Keyboard Driver

Have just seen a thread on the rabroad forum regarding the "horrors" some people have gone through with the drivers from Palm for the new "Univerisal Wireless Keyboard". Interesting latest post (12/01/04) indicates it may be a conflict with an SD card in use. The person indicates that with the card removed, they had no problem with using the driver and accessing the program. With the card inserted it was the "White Screen Of Death - WSOD". If anyone is using or attempting to use the new keyboard and driver - you may want to consider this as a possible culprit.

I think that user just got lucky with his/her particular setup.

The BOTTOM LINE, I suggest EVERYBODY avoid this keyboard until P1 comes out with a driver update. My $.02 USD.

Supporting argument:

On PalmOne NEW help forums, there's a Treo 600(?) user that gets a NULL pointer error (aka memory corruption).

In my belief the problem is memory corruption, and the less you have running on the PDA the less you'll see the problem.

But I suspect eventually, if one adds enough apps, they'll see the problem.

I also did some testing that supports this position. I determined that it didn't appear to be related to any particular app. But I could trigger it when I added enough apps/databases in RAM on my T3. Let me know if you want pointer to my previous post

The WSOD is nasty as one has to disassemble and disconnect battery to restore T3 function - but this voids warranty... Or one can send to PalmOne, but now they're charging $125 for T3s out of warranty to fix THEIR BUG. If one yells loud enough you MIGHT be able to get them to fix it for you (some have been successful).
