vacillation between...? ...too much pride and too much self-loathing?
Ans. True.
Illustrations:
Too much pride: If I, as a theist can claim that I know beyond a reasonable doubt their is a 'god', how can you, the atheist, claim beyond a reasonable doubt that there is no 'god'?
Too much self-loathing: I don't care how much you learn about the world, life, existence, universe, et al. you need to be like me, the theist and say "duh, i dont no nutting". IOW, you need to reject your current view so as to incorporate my 'god' in there.
Mordent, please explain why if you reject an hypothesis that has no physical evidence, that you need to believe in everything? My hunch is because that is what YOU would do. Project much?
