T-Mobile's t-Zones and my 7105t?

Hey guys,

On my T-Mobile account, I pay for t-Zones (internet access by T-Mobile), it's $4.99/mo I think.

Anyway, after I made the switch yesterday from a normal mobile phone that came with a WAP browser (which worked since I had t-Zones), I noticed as soon as I got my BlackBerry 7105t that even though I still had t-Zones with my t-Mobile account (and was using the same SIM card) that when I tried to launch the browser by pressing the browser button, it said "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device."

My questions are:
1. since I am still paying for T-Mobile internet access (t-Zones) is there any way I can enable the browser on my BB and use the internet? I mean, I do have t-Zones service still.
2. or is the only way I am going to get internet access on my BB 7105t by purchasing their spendy $20/mo internet plan for BlackBerry phones?
3. is there any way I can enable the browser on my device?

Thank you very much in advance,
Andy M.

Try using this information to set up access. Let us know of that works. If it doesn't you may have to contact t-mobile. You should at least have access to the t-zones but not the rest of the web.

Ah, I seen that thread earlier, and here are the two T-mobile entries that I assume I would use since I'm in the us:

I'm not sure where to enter in that information though.
Right now I'm in Tools > Settings > TCP and all that I see is "APN:", "Username for APN:" and "Password for APN:"

You're in the right spot. Use this info.

APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username for APN: (blank)
Password for APN: (blank)
WAP Gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
WAP Gateway Port: 9201

Where can I edit this info though?

WAP Gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
WAP Gateway Port: 9201

All that I am seeing is (no WAP fields):

APN:
Username for APN:
Password for APN:

All you need to do is fill in the fields you have available. In your case it sounds like the APN is your only option.

APN: wap.voicestream.com

give that a try.

I would suggest calling T Mobile and asking. They should be able to send you what you need or tell you its not possible. I didn't go with thier add on blackberry plan, but the Minutes & Mail plan with 1000 minutes. I don't use the phone alot. When I had a Sidekick I had to have the Sidekick data plan to use the data options, which would not work on a normal phone or a BB.

Yeah, your going to have to get the BlackBerry data plan.

I did the same thing as you, as I had T-Zones... even used their proxy so I could thether to my laptop and go online. When I got the BlackBerry there was no way with T-Zones to get the service books. I didn't really like it, but even at 19.99 a month it's much cheaper than other companies for unlimited access.

Forgive me for not introducing myself in the intro forum, but i've been browsing this website, along with bunch of others in desperate try to be able to use an unlocked blackberry 7290 i bought off ebay to browse the web without having a bb service. I'm exhuasted, but figured I'd share my find with those in similar situation. Just by sheer luck, I downloaded the blackberry os from here for my model (7290) :
"apparently i can't post URL until i'm stack level 2, so pm me for the url if you're interested"
(i've tried t-mobile's newest os upgrade, than noticed this one was a newer version)

and lord behold, I can go online using third party software (opera). I still can't use the built in browser (as I have no service book entries still). Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I've had t-zones plan ($5.99) and $9.99 sms bucket. I would've bought the BB service thru t-mobile, but it came with no sms... and I'm cheap :-P

With that, I'm finally going to bed.
