t-mobile: what is a checking account ?

i'm trying to add minutes to my prepaid sidekick. i went on the website, and to get minutes sent to your phone, their are 2 options.
you need to pay either with a credit/debit card, or checking account ?

what is a checking account and how do you pay for it ?

You ARE kidding, aren't you? A checking account is an on-demand account with a bank. You can use these things called checks to pay for things. The money is taken from the account. Typically, your debit card is linked to both your savings account and your checking account.

a checking account is an account you open to deposit money into at a local bank. then you can either physically write paper checks or you can do electronic checks over the phone or online to pay for things.. But you have to have the money in your checking account in order to write a check or do a check over the phone or online. a debit card is the same thing.. the money has to be in the account for you to use a debit card too. alot of people get debit cards for their checking accounts instead of paper checks. you can also get a pre-paid visa or pre-paid mastercard at drug stores etc. then you can use that pre-paid card *also sometimes called a debit card.. to buy things in person or online.

I am not saying this to be mean, and i have no idea how old you are, but its awful that your school or your parents have not taught you what a checking account is.
