Just joined here but I've been lurking for awhile...anyways, my t-mobile g1 broke and im getting a new phone today. I liked the android format deal, so what should I be looking for now? I know android has released alot of phones since the G1. The Touch Pro 2 is kinda out of the price range, but the my touch seems to fit in it. I have unlimited internet and text if anyone can help me out that'd be great. It doesnt have to be android, I just want something that has touch screen, email, and gps. Doesn't it have to me t-mobile so I can use 3g? Phone can be any brand that fits in my needs.

Thanks.

Your best bet is still with Android since there are not many unbranded phones out there with T-Mobile 3G. I would suggest the myTouch 3G if you really need a phone right now.

If you can hold off until next year, the Google Nexus One is rumored to be released on January 05.

I see, so no unbranded phone has tmobile 3g? Well this is a late christmas present for me from someone else except I already know what it is :D Im sure the price on the nexus will be outragous so maybe I will go with the myTouch 3G. How does it compare to the g1?

Pharos 137 (WM 6.1/6.5), Nokia N900 (Maemo 5), Google Ion (Google-branded myTouch 3G), and i7500 (unbranded Galaxy) have T-Mobile 3G.

The myTouch 3G is similar to the G1 except it has more ROM (for apps) and no keyboard. RAM, screen size, and OS are the same.
