T-Mobile Sim Card question and Camera Phone (my phone broke!!)?

My T-Mobile phone broke--> I dropped it and the screen broke. I got an older T-Mobile phone from my friend, but it's not a camera phone (my broken one is). If I put the sim card into my friends non-camera phone, will my photos still stay on the card for when I get a new camera phone? Or will they be lost forever?
