Well pdxmatts, im gonna call TMO on the 4th when the touch pro should be released on At&t and explain my situation to them and hope for the best... i just figured until then i would ask around here and see if i could get any solid ground to stand on when i was talking to them... and you guys helped me, now i have a couple things to say to TMO

I went online to my account, It said my hotspot was for all the lines @ $9.99. So, I called TMO to make sure. They said all the lines were covered. So, I guess I got in on the deal before it expired.

I was told that in order to get the UMA calls for free, you had to add H@H to your plan. You can still get Wifi/UMA through a router for faster web browsing, but your minutes would not be free w/o it.

ya thats what i figure im gonna do, plus if it doesnt work on the first rep ill say im gonna wait to terminate and then call back and work on a different rep

just remember to keep your stories straight, since they doc your account every time you call. Dont want to trip yourself up.

i know this is a little late but i am a rep for t-mobile. They will not hold you in contract if you have no service. Also if you activated after like aug the declining etf fee will be reduced, however if you activated before then the 200 charge will apply.

You know, this makes you wonder. Why do phone companies treat the new customers better than the loyal, long time customers?? It should be somewhere 50/50 or 60/40.. But not 80/20. It becomes so expensive for current customers to upgrade to a brand new phone if you don't have an upgrade. While new customers enjoy good deals on the same phones. I'm out of upgrades & with the Curve 8900 possibly weeks away, I'm looking at my options.

iff (if and only if) your currently billing address is hers and you have proof of residency or if you can show that you spend a lot of time there. you will not be hit with a termination fee if that is the case.

if that can't be proven then you will be charged the fee

i agree, but all carriers sweeten the pot to bring in new customers or retain existing customers. also the deals that they offer you at sign up is important. because it'll take a wireless carrier about 18-20 months before they break even for all the ads and discounts that they did to get you in as a customer.

plus you have yo look at it this way if you are in the iddle of a contract and you upgrade your phone 3 times in a 6 month period where do they make money. they aren't. the carriers are in a very odd postion they have to appease the customers as well as the vendor and still have money for themselves for gain and to cover cost. so they have to try to come to a happy medium.
