I'm considering switching from a Virgin Mobile Rumor2 to a T-Mobile Samsung T369. As far as I can tell, the phones themselves are quite similar; the differences seem to be that the T369 slides out on the opposite side that the R2 does, the screen is a bit bigger, and it takes video (R2 only does pictures).
Currently, I have the $25 + tax with VM, for 300 calling minutes and Unlimited Text and Data...
I've heard TM's Unlimited Texting is $15 a month. How much are their calling plans (ex, how much $ = how many minutes)? The Unlimited Texting is a MUST, and calling minimal. I wouldn't need more than about 100 minutes a month. So, the cheapest calling plans work. The Data is an option - I don't really use it much.
Also, I've heard that in addition to being cheaper, TM is more well thought of than VM - What are your thoughts on this?
Is it worth making the switch???

Also, would my cell # have to change when I switched over?
