T-mobile mytouch help?

i recently bought a my touch 4g and i downloaded the yahoo messenger app and now all my contacts from yahoo are in my phonebook and i tried deleting it like how anyone would delete a contact and it's not working all thats showing up is send contact a vcard or add a fave now could someone please help me
