I just saw thier website. They are offering 1000 minutes with free nights and weekends for $39.99! It's a promo rate, so I'm guessing I can't get it as I'm already a customer.

Yes you can get that rate plan even if you are a current customer but as was explained to us it comes with a 2 Year contract not the usual 1 year for changing to a plan with unlimited nights. Depending on when the end of your current contract is, you might want to wait. They have brought this out before about once every 18 months or so if I recall correctly. Usually Cingular will come out with one to compete with it with a few less minutes.

yeah I'm a sales rep for TMO and the 39.99 plan for 1000 whenever minutes is just a promo plan that is the reason that the plan comes with a two year agreement. This plan is only going to be around for a little while longer so if your intrested in getting it go to your local t-mobile dealer and get it, but some sales reps may not ever pitch it because there isnt very much commission on it, they will more than likely try to get you on a myFaves plan. Some TMO reps may not even know it exists depending on the area in which you live in.
 
golly, i've been on the 1000 minute/$39 plan for over a year, maybe two, and i just renewed it a couple of months ago when i got my pearl. sounds like a year-round promo. or, i'm just super lucky!
 
Once you are on the plan it stays with you. They only offer it once a year for a couple of months at a time. As long as you don't change your plan you will continue with it till you cancel your service. That is how come a lot of those old AT&T folks still have the unlimited $99 plan.

Yeah when Nextel took their $99 unlimited plan off is when Cingular out their's into affect. There really isn't a reason you need unlimited minutes unless you own a business and even at that the pricing plans for TMO's business accounts are awesome I almost wanna go get a FID # just so I can get one of those accounts. But TMO has a new thing coming out with no contract but you buy the phone and pay the month in advance... So everyone who has contractural complaints check that out it should be around August sometime
