T-Mobile going 3G October 1st?

I have heard this for a while now from all my friends who are on T-Mobile. My question is, if i get a Curve on T-Mobile now, will I be able to use the 3G network when it comes out, or will I have to 1) Get a new device, and/or 2) renegotiate my contract?
 
The Curve is not a 3G compatible device, only EDGE. So, you can either buy a new device outright (if you aren't eligible for upgrade), or try to renegotiate your contract for better pricing on the new device, LOL.
 
okay, so are the Curves 3G on any other carrier. I am on Verizon now, and I get EVDO, which they were like, "yea, thats our form of 3G".

True or lie?
 
I want 3G so I guess I'll be getting a new device for it. Since T-Mobile is getting 3G that means they will get the BOLD or/and Javeline.
