***T-Mobile G1 Touchscreen Problems*** Please help!!!

Hi All,

I need your expertise... I have reset the G1 to factory settings 3 times now after backing up my texts/emails/contacts... and my touch screen either doesn't respond to touches or the screen wigs out for some reason... I have to put it in standby/sleep mode multiple times and click the menu key for it to function again... This is getting annoying and I can't seem to resolve this problem. I have firmware version 1.6 - Baseband version 62.50SC.20.17H_2.22.23.02 - Kernal version 2.6.29-00479-g3c7df37 - Build number DMD64

At first I thought I had downloaded apps through the MARKETPLACE that might have caused this touchscreen issue, but after wiping the phone it still acts up when I try to sign on again...

Please help!!! should I downgrade the OS or what?

If a factory reset doesn't fix it then it's a hardware fault. You will either have to send it to HTC to get fixed for a fee or if it's under a year old and you have the receipt you can exchange it.
