T-Mobile G1 Data Plan?

I am thinking about buying T-Mobile G1. I am a preexisting t-mobile customer. Besides buying the phone itself, what other costs come with getting the G1? My friend told me about having to buy a data plan? What is this exactly? Is it expensive? Would this be included with the regular bill I get each month or is it its own separate bill? What about texting? Is that included in the data plan?

Any answer will be helpful.
 
With a G1 you have to have a data plan. Which is around $25 to $35 more than your regular plan.Yes that is added to your phone bill each month. As far as the text goes the amount depends on the data plan.
 
Make sure of doing your research on the g1.... i bought when it came out it was really awesome but the horrible thing about is the battery life sucks, you could only use 5-6 hours with heavy use (i have to charge it everyday). You are force to get internet either wise the phone is not worth having (like the iphone) you have to pay $35 or $45 for unlimited internet and 400 text messages or you can get everything unlimited for like 55-65 dollars but im in a family plan if your by your self its going to be expensive so get ready. you can call up t-mobile and ask them any question. (and if your going to buy it theres a new battery, you can buy online it cost $45 and it lasts 1 week)
