I’m currently on T-Mobile family plan but I purchased an unlocked phone – I need to decide on what I’m going to do with the data plan.
I used to be on $9.99 200MB Data + 150 Text Messages plan and I managed not to overuse by checking e-mail, use the web with mobile sites if possible, and some application uses (e.g. Bing and Google Map).
I don’t plan to sign two year contract because I may have to leave the States next year.
So I have two possible scenarios:
T-Mobile 200MB $15 Data Plan [non-contract] + $300 Text Messages $4.99 = $19.99 per month
T-Mobile $30 Unlimited Data Plan [non-contract] + No Text Message Plan
I’m not quite sure how much intensive graphical apps nowadays use data in average but I would like to use apps since I have the phone capable of doing so. In terms of web browsing, I guess I could still use mobile sites but if possible, I would like to access the full sites.
I was also told that there are some Android apps that lets you send free text messages. Is that possible and is it a good replacement as a default text message service?
Thank you!
