T-Mobile Dash 3G vs. Blackberry 9700

After being a Dash user for the past 2-3 years, I have picked up a Blackberry 9700, and am quickly second guessing myself.

Email management is key for me, closely followed by Phone functionality, calendar and contact management, and then good look and feel from the device.

The Windows Mobile platform can be slow, contacts are, in my experience, very, very, very slow to search through. And when you get that dreaded message in Windows Mobile, "there has been a change made to the server, and all items on your device need to be resynchronized", that can tether your device to your PC for hours (it once took my Dash something like 36 hours to resync, during which time the phone is not really usable!)

But - the Dash synchronizes email (past, present and future), contacts, my calendar, tasks, documents, and personal folders, both directions in real-time.

The Blackberry Internet Service seems to be much more unidirectional for email, while synchronizing calendar, contacts and tasks.

If the BB 9700 and its Blackberry Internet Service, is as unidrectional for email as it seems, then I need to figure out to process email on my BB (read, reply, move or delete) and avoid having to do the same to my desktop.

Are the Dash 3G and the BB 9700 as different as they seem? Which did you choose and why? How have you managed your BB email and desktop email when using the Blackberry Internet Service?

I do love the look and feel of the BB 9700, but if need to re-manage my email on my desktop after first managing it on my BB, then this could be a productivity killer.

Thanks much.
