T-Mobile Contract Problems?

I have just got a new T-Mobile pay monthly SIM card. I did the thing where you text AL to 150, however it said that I had no allowances, even though my contract is supposed to have 100 minutes and texts. The only thing that I can think of is that the payment might not have gone through yet. Could this be my problem?
