I have a samsung gravity II (biggest piece of sh*t phone I've ever owned) on T-mobile. I'm looking into buying a BlackBerry Pearl Flip on ebay - either a T-mobile or unlocked one.
Would I be able to take my Sim card out of the Samsung and put it in the Blackberry to activate it? Or do I have to go to a T-mobile store and pay to get it activated?
Also, I only use my phone for texting and talking - do I need to have a data plan/ blackberry plan to have a Pearl Flip if I am only going to use it for texting and talking?
I need to replace my current phone, it keeps crashing and restarting to the point that it is so annoying that it is unusable. The reason why I'm going for the BB pearl flip is because I miss having a flip phone - I find them easier to fit in my pocket and easier to hold. Also, the reason why I'm going after a Blackberry over a generic flip phone is that I prefer texting on a blackberry keyboard and in the next few months I want to get a data plan and use it for email and internet, just I cannot afford to upgrade to that atm.
