T-mobile bill over 800 dollars.?

This morning my dad woke me up, and he was red, hot mad. We just received our bill today and it smacked us with an 800 dollar bill! He said it was all from my phone, I was confused. How was it from my phone? I've been barley talking on the phone recently.
I then decided to call the company, they said my text when over. I was outraged, did I have unlimited? A flashback came to me remembering, 4 months ago, I walked in the T-mobile store looking to buy a phone, when I found the phone, I bought it and I told the employee specifically to change my 1000 text to unlimited. He said "sure". I walked out of the store with my new phone but not realizing my plan didn't change to unlimited at all.

I told T-mobile my story through the phone, they sounded like they didn't believe me. They told me it wasn't their problem and all this yaba jaba I am plan to go back to the place I bought the phone from and complain to the employee who fked me over.

My question is: How can I get a refund? Is it still my fault for not checking if I really had unlimited? or is the employee a tard for not do his job? What should I do? Pay the bill or try to fight my way out of it? and how?
