T-Mobile 8800 set to lunch 4/23/07! Here are the prices!

I am getting a 2 year extention price of $349 but I am out of contract.

I am seriously thinking of switching from T-mobile. I am going to talk to customer service and see what they can do to that price. I got an offer for Cingular, free with two year contract.

Usually the best price -with TMO directly- is available if one speaks to a CSR (611#/800#).
Web pricing looks too discouraging. As does a TMO Corporate store for upgrades.
Even when I sign into my TMO account online all I can get is
the full price of $549.99 (+ shipping Regular or Express). No Upgrade pricing.

A talk with a CSR and I am told upgrade at $349.99 for a 2Yr. extn. OR
$399.99 for 1Yr. extn. with $519.99, no contract.
I imagine most long-term customers would be getting similar feedback for upgrades.

I foresee no real benefit to me in practical usage by upgrading so
I think I'll pass on this 8800 & wait for the 83xx-if WiFi is included.

Keep in mind that the price difference in the phone doesn't take into account the plan minutes/cost and the data plan difference in cost over two years.. Just a reminder to look at the whole cost not just the phone..

I have the 8800 and I had buyers remorse. I gave up the camera on the pearl. I should have just waited for the 8300. I however love the GPS in the 8800 and the features I'm discovering are making the purchase more comforting.

I realize why tmobile didn't fight for this release. It's a good phone, don't get me wrong, but I love the camera feature on the pearl. Even with the GPS and some additional perks it shadows in the pearls presence

Still feel like the 8800 should have had more. For a "major" release this wasn't that major

$34.99 ( Cingy BIS) - $19.99 ( TMO BIS) = $15.00 x 24 months= $360. I'd say you get a break. just my thoughts. I wouldn't change carriers simply because of this bb however. Not that impressive for me anyways.

My price range would be $200 below.. if it goes over that, then I would have to say no. Unless my girlfriend will help me pay for it lol ;-)

Some people can't afford to pay $500 or more for a phone. I know I am not able to (limited income). That's why I'm waiting to find out if I can exchange my Pearl for one via alternative handset exchange. If they can't give it to me for that, I'm gonna have to go down to the next affordable device, a 7105t.

You also have to realize that, I plan on staying with the company for many more years...but if they don't get better prices, $349, when I can sign up and get the same phone with a competitor cheaper, and get practically the same price, and the plan price isn't that much more....why not switch.

I have an offer for a free BB8800, with a two year contract. I won't be spending $350 more money in plan cost over two years, maybe $200.00, either way it would be more expensive to stay with T-mobile.

I am really going to switch. Probably not....I hate At&t. for the way i was treated when I had them before...(as At&t wireless). T-mobile has the best customer support, and the nicest people in the industry. I just wish that my loyality would be rewarded. But there is never a discount...and with everybody. Loyality lies with the dollar in the end. Been a customer for over 8 years now with T-mobile/predecessor.

Limited income or not, personally i am not spending too much bucks for the lil bang. Yes its a lil better than the pearl and i just extended my contract not to long ago.

HOLY SH*T... HOW REDICULOUS... doesn't even have a camera... sorry... If I'm blowing $350 bucks on a phone it's gonna have qwerty, cam and media player. Ugh... so sick of t-mo's outrageous prices...

The tmo price is steep, but inline with the price of the 8700 when it was new. Remember the 8800 is aimed at business users, the pearl for consumers. Most business users, like me, can't have cameras. I will probably wait 6 months or so to upgrade. (wap.rabroad.com)~
