Synthyroid or armour??????

Hi Everyone!

I have hardly no symtoms except lots of hairloss. I've had a partial thryoidectomy and my TSH#'s are 5.21

I have a bottle of synthroid here that I haven't started to take yet. I've been reading stories after stories how people can feel worse on it. I feel not too bad now so i HATE to feel WORSE.

I have no idea what to take or do. I live in Canada so we don't have armour but we do have something called ERFA( I think) which is the same as Armour.

what does everyone else take out there and how are you feeling with you drugs?

Hi,
I was on synthroid for years, then synthroid/cytomel corabo which was much better than synthroid alone and now I'm on Erfa (three months). I see the difference already and although my blood work is not perfect YET... I feel much better and I am starting to love erfa for giving me my life back. Synthroid alone didn't do a thing for me, I needed T3 (cytomel).

How big is your synthroid dose?
Post your TSH and FT3, FT4 with ranges and I am sure you will have a response soon.

I don't know my T3 and T4 nurabers as they said it was always normal. I've just been following my TSH myself. I know they tested me for everything so I'll find out what they are and post them :)))

They want to start me on 0.037mg of synthryoid. I haven't taken it yet.
 
Bella4 Ever...can you please tell me when you were on Synthroid did you get symtoms or did your hypo symtoms never go away?
