Synchronizing Apple iCal and Google Calendar?

When I subscribe to my boyfriend's calendar it shows his email address not his name. It's long and that looks pretty annoying in the application. I edited the calendar's name in Gcal but Apple iCal doesn't show it. Any way I can fix that?
