Synching with No Data Transfer

I have my old T5 and a new laptop with Windows Vista. I downloaded the Palm Desktop for the latter but now when I synch I get no transfer of data either from the Palm to the desktop or in the other direction. I tried both with a test memo, and neither time did it transfer.

I cannot bring up any of the HotSync functions (options, log, etc) from the desktop tool. The log on the T5 says that everything (memos, calendar, etc) went 'OK;' but it didn't. I've tried reloading the Desktop application, but with the same results.

About the only thing different on this computer besides the OS is the antivirus software. It has a two-month free trial of Norton, whereas I usually run McAfee...

Someone help me, this is driving me nuts!

To answer my own question, no it is not.

For some reason when I went to Palm.com and tried to download the desktop for a T5 and running Vista, it did not give me the correct version to download (it gave me Palm Desktop 4.1.4E for Windows). I had to find v6.2.2 (Desktop by ACCESS) and HotSync Manager 7.0 myself, and once I got it loaded everything seems to be working fine.

I only post all this in hopes that it helps someone with similar problems in the future.
