Sync with bluetooth

I cannot perform a hotsync between my palm and my sony vaio computer ; sync works with the usb cable, the blutooth connection seems to work as the blutooth icon turns green, but the icon on the palm doesn't move ; do you have any idea of what can be misconfigured ?
Thank you in advance

Is your Hot Sync configured for Network? Click on the hot sync icon and then see what options are checked - default is Local USB then you'll get Local (which is probably going to need to be checked as I think BT hot sync looks like a serial port). Turn them on and off one at a time to see if one works over the other.

Should sync if you select "Local" for Hotsync option and have serial ports assigned correctly. Check the Bluetooth software on your Vaio to see which serial port it monitors. Open Hotsync "Setup" and go to the "Local" tab to make sure the same port is selected. You should then be able to sync via Bluetooth assuming everything is properly configured on the TX.

That being said, you may still want to sync via USB as Bluetooth is SLOW. That's because it syncs through a serial connection. The only advantage to Bluetooth syncing is that it's wireless. For me that hasn't made it useful enough to be willing to put up with the low speed. USB sync is much faster.
