I am turning to this message board after my quality of life has bottomed-out.
I have chronic lower back pain that just seems to radiate from my lurabar spine. My legs are weak, i can't go for walks with my husband, I have nurabness in my pelvis and legs at times and have trouble sleeping some nights.
I think the doctors attribute my pain to my approx. 28 degree scoliosis but the pain has increased so much in the past year that i am not so convinced. He gave me dicofenac (sp?) for pain and that barely takes the edge off.
My doctor is sending me to another orthopedic surgeon and for a CT scan but i'm worried that they won't be able to find anything. I am upset that I wont be able to enjoy my honeymoon in Noveraber because I need to lay down so much.
I've read a lot about spondylolisthesis and it seems to match some of my symptoms but i'm not sure. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Have you had an MRI and a consultation with an orthopedic spine surgeon - but are just looking to have an evaluation by a new surgeon?

I had an initial few visits, when they thought they were just treating scoliosis - that was years ago when i wasn't living in pain everyday. Since then the symptoms have gotten dramatically worse.
I have not had an MRI, my doc just ordered the CT scan but they are so booked up at the hospital that I can't get in for weeks. Some days i don't feel like i can wait another day for an answer.

From someone going through a lot of back and leg pain(for 4 yrs) i feel for you. I hope you fine that "right doctor" with the "right diagnosis"
