Swollen Taste Buds

Hey everyone,

My doctor told me I have swollen taste buRAB, I got them a little under a week ago and they still have not gone away. He didn't prescribe me anything and said they would go away on their own. Anyone know how long it takes for them to go away? Also, I can feel them on my tongue like sometimes you have a little food stuck on your tongue its that feeling I dont know if that helps.

I am applying Glycerin UPS twice a day, the taste buRAB dont hurt and they are on the back of my tongue near my throat.

Should I be worried?
 
I also have noticed a very small 1 cm long white streak about a mm thin under my tongue near salivary gland, also there are a few reddish bumps around it very small as well. That area has become sore, as well as my tastebud area what should i do? any comments?
