Hi everyone,

My 2.5 yr old daughter has swollen lymph nodes in her neck, groin and just recently have appeared in her arm pits. She has several in her neck with one in particular growing at least 2cm in the last 2-3 mths. The ones in her armpits have only recently appeared in the last week. We have seen our GP and she ordered CBC and liver and kidney function that all appeared normal. The only thing that should up was her heamatocrit was low but her iron levels were normal.
She is healthy, happy, gets a little tired but she is a normal child that doesn't stop.
I suppose I am a little curious as to why these nodes are appearing everywhere when there appears to be no infection.
I am a nursing student and taught when there is a localized infection the lymph nodes respond at that particular spot.
So my concern is why are they all up and there is no infection. Our GP has now referred her to a Paed.
Does anyone have any insight into this particular concern?
Thank u in advance,

Kel:)
