Does anybody have a clue what this is? The other day I noticed the pinkie finger on one of my hands was swollen.
The next day all four fingertips on that hand were swollen and extremely itchy. I put Cortisone on them and they itched more! The only thing that helped was soaking my fingertips in a cup of ice. I could sometimes feel them tingling - like my fingertips were asleep.
The third day my finger tips were still swollen and hard to bend. They were also itchy and tingling at times, and they had developed red splotches under the skin (not scaps or open sores).
Today my fingertips are still a little swollen, but the swelling has gone down. The red splotches are still visible but the itching is gone.
I don't think it was a food or nail polish allergy because my thumb and other hand were fine. What could this be? It was very uncomfortable!
