It's swollen, will get sore as the day goes by--how sore depending on what I eat. Very tiny bumps more red than white and will swell more. I think it's either a symptom of hypothyroidism or acid reflux. Have just recently been diagnosed w/thyroid eye disease for dbl vision but my dr's don't think its my thyroid (Huh??? Can someone explain this to me?) Am waiting on an appt w/endo and having bloodwork.
I've had the acid reflux for years. I also take allergy medicine for heavy mucus in my throat, especially at night. Can allergies or acid reflux do this to my tongue? I deal with it all day long, every day. Going on second week and have had two courses of nystatin with benadryl.

My tongue feels better today. Maybe my doctor was right-that the sore bumps were a reaction to the antibiotic I took for the thick mucus every night. I thought I'd get a response from someone concerning the swollen tongue since it is a symptom of thyroid problem. I wonder if the mucus is a symptom. Anyone know? Still waiting to see an endo.
