Switching to a new martial arts style...Aikido or Arnis?

So I have been a tae-kwon-do practioner for the past 8 years, and I have decided to switch it up a bit. My options for the school I have taken interest in are Aikido and Modern Arnis. Now I havent done much of either before, but Im curious as to which style I would learn the most from in about 3 years. Since that is the scope that I am looking at. Which would be better for self-defense. I am not looking for a street fighting course so if either of the two is such, please tell me now. All help is appreciated thank you :)

Id suggest youd take Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, some ground grappling. But of those two I recommend Aikido although it is hard and takes longer to learn, although you seem like a diciplined fighter so that souldnt be a problem. Good Luck
