The receiver for my Philips speakers is shot, no longer working at all. However, I have a Kenwood receiver with no speakers... Can I snip the end of my Philips speaker wires (which are currently pre-cut with plastic inserts for my old system) to make the wires exposed to insert into my Kenwood system? The Kenwood has the speaker ports that you clip exposed wires into... Also, my Philips speakers have two wires each: transparent, and transparent with black dashes along it.
