...Flash (Thumb) Drive? I'm working on 3 essays, between home and school. However, at home I only have the basic Microsoft Works that computers come with, and the school computers use Microsoft Word 2007. When I saved the progress I'd made on my essays to a Flash Drive, the school computers opened it just fine and made it compatible with Microsoft Word 2007. When I went to save progress I'd made at school, it told me to save it, I'd have to change the format. I was wondering, will Microsoft Works at home be to open it and make it compatible as Word 2007 did? Thanks to those who can answer, because it'd be really irritating to make progress on my papers, and then not to be able to have those documents open at home.

you not mentioned wat version u r using in home pc. If u r using excel 2003 version then save the file as windows 97-2003 type.so that u can open in both systems.

hope this will help!!

In Word 2007 when you choose save as, below "filename:" is "save as type:" if you expand this the last entry is "Works 6.0 - 9.0" save it as this format to your pen drive.

Best to keep a Word version tho so when your working on your paper at school just click file save (which will save as a standard Word 2007 format), then click file>save as, and save it as above choosing works., creating two seperate files
