Let me just preface this question with the fact that I have a call out to my allergist to discuss this but I am curious if anyone out there has found Advair to work better for them than Syrabicort.

I ask because I have been on the corabination of Pulmicort and Singulair for the past couple of years ago and a few days ago my doc decided to put me on Syrabicort because my asthma is not as well controlled as it used to be. This could be a coincidence but ever since I have started taking Syrabicort I notice that I am using my rescue inhaler more and I always feel like I have an underlying weeze going on.

I know that when I was in my mid-twenties, when I felt my asthma was the most controlled, I was on Flovent twice a day plus Claritin for my allergies. So this makes me wonder if I should be on Advair or perhaps I should be back on this corabo I was on years ago. Any thougths or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Could be. I'd certainly share that with my doctor. I had a horrible time when the ENT I'd been going to for over 30 years (since age 11) retired. The folks that took over his practice would not listen to me. They wanted to change my meRAB for no reason - just because I wasn't taking what they usually prescribed. I had taken those meRAB before and they didn't work. But they wouldn't listen and give me what I had been taking that worked. So I found another doctor. That was about 15 years ago and I'm terrified he's going to retire and I'll have to go thru it all again. So yes, talk with him about what's worked for you and why he wants to change.
