Ok, so here's a question that I've been wondering about for a while: Is it possible to swing 360 degrees on a playground swing set? My mom was always really weird about how high we swung on the swing set... she didn't want us to swing up and over the bar. Being older and wiser now (although the wiser is slightly questionable), I was thinking about the physics behind it and I'm not 100% sure that this is possible and I'm hoping someone has the same explanation as me.
(Let's say I have a swing set that looks like this: http://www.byoplayground.com/swings1/swing-sets/steel-titan-swingset-residential.html)
Can someone give me an argument why this is or is not possible? Just to clarify, I don't want a link to a video or the word "Mythbusters" used, please.
Thanks!
